About Ethiopia
Ethiopia is, officially, named the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and it is the second-most populous country of Africa having more than 100 million inhabitants. It is also one of the oldest sites of human existence and during the Scramble of Africa; Ethiopia was the only African country that retained independence. Ethiopia is one of the biggest economies of East Africa and Central Africa in terms of GDP, and it is one of the fastest-growing economics of the world.

The flag of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has three colors which are set horizontally. Green is on the top, yellow in the middle and red at the bottom, and a blue circular background is found in the center. When the African nations became independent after World War II, many countries adopted the colors of the Ethiopian flag.

Part of Simien Mountains National Park located in the Gondar, Amhara Region, it reaches an elevation of 4,550 metres (14,930 ft).The more common form, "Ras Dashen" is a corruption of its Amharic name, "Ras Dejen", used by the system of the Ethiopian Mapping Authority (EMA) which means "the general who fights in front of the Emperor".

Lalibela
Lalibela is one of Ethiopia's holiest places, dating back to the 12th century. The churches in it are carved from soft volcanic rock, some cut into the face of a cliff, while others are isolated structures in deeply-carved pits with long access passages or trenches.
